I have always been interested in travelling but it wasn't until 2002, in my late twenties that I started to travel more extensively.

I have done one longer bicycle tour before and it was back in 2002 when I cycled in China and Tibet.  My preparations then were not the best but I compensated for this with a lot of motivation and an adventurous mind. The bike trip lasted for about a month before I had to quit because of illness. The illness was cured in Nepal but by that time I had caught another "life long disease"... I had been bitten by the travel bug.

Since then I have done a lot of travels, mainly in South East Asia, and along with backpacks instead of a bicycle. But now it's time for a new bicycle tour and I'm really looking forward to zig zagging across Australia.

The picture shows me studying a map in Tak, Thailand, with my camera around the neck. I've chosen this picture as I hope to take lots of photos and do a lot of map reading on this tour.

Lived in Sweden since 2009 and love travel and outdoor life. Previously done trekking in Norway and Sweden and a shorter bicycle tour in Laos. Looking forward to cycle in Australia and the warmer weather there.

In the photo I'm getting ready to face the Swedish winter weather.
